Our 2024 Fèis, August 13-18, has a wonderful line up of presenters, we’re bringing native speakers from Scotland and Cape Breton to provide you with the best possible instruction in language, harp, fiddle, bagpipes, and song - as well as a wonderful immersive experience. 

We’ll be back at the beautiful Evergreen State college campus with apartment style housing.

Room, board, classes, Ceilidhs and more, 5 nights and 4 full days of activity for just $995 USD. 

We also have weekend options if you’re only be able to join us for Friday and Saturday’s classes.

What happens at the Fèis?

Schedule of typical day at the Fèis:

8-9 Breakfast

9:15-10 – Gàidhlig Class for everyone – 2 levels

10:15 to noon – Major study, with 1 10-minute break

Noon to 1 lunch

1:15 to 2:30 – Major study session 2

2:45 to 4 –Try it Classes - a variety of cultural and musical offerings from our presenters

4-6 Free time - perhaps happy Hour conversation groups in the apartments, time to explore the trails and nature around campus, or maybe a wee nap.

6-7 dinner

7:30 to 10 Ceilidh - in the Ceilidh Hall we all gather to share songs, tunes, and stories. There is wool waulking, dancing, camaraderie, good craic and more!

10PM – personal mayhem back at the apartments, or just a good night’s sleep.

Housing & Meals

Housing at Evergreen is apartment style. Apartments consist of 4-6 private bedrooms, a shared kitchen and living area, and shared bathrooms with private toilets and showers. Apartments will have refrigerators and microwaves . Meal service is included and provided at Evergreen’s cafeteria They do provide a variety of options and can accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences

Where?

Evergreen State College is located at 2700 Evergreen Pkwy NW, Olympia, WA 98505. If you are arriving by plane fly into Sea-Tac airport. There is also bus and train service to Olympia. All Fèis registrants will receive email with travel instructions, as well as specifics about where to go on campus to check in.
